Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my last post! Writing it felt really refreshing and therapeutic. I am a few days in to trying citalopram and am feeling a bit queasy with the
side effects but feel a little calmer today, although I don't suspect it would be working quite so soon. Today I have a book to half-review; half as I have opened and skimmed through, but am yet to sit down and devour it entirely.
I'm excited to read it in winter sittings as the weather gets colder! I haven't actually read much Austen - apart from the odd Pride and Prejudice novel lying around (I love the kitties version, I won't lie!) - so was overjoyed to get this large Austen collective from my Gramama on my twentieth birthday! I'm one of those who gets far too excited to have stockings or books, or a handknitted jumper on Christmas morning;
It includes such novels as "Sense and Sensibility", "Pride and Prejudice", "Mansfield Park", "Emma", "Northanger Abbey", "Persuasion" and "Lady Susan". It's the most decorative book I've seen and to get lost in, has gold tipped pages, gold details and accents on the front and a gleaming bronze ribbon bookmark. The pictures don't do it justice, it looks so nice to keep on a bedside table! It feels so cosy to get my reading list organised at this time of year. I have collected a few others but am waiting to do a collective post.
I've found a copy to buy online here but I think copies are also available on ebay! What are you reading?
