How to decorate your desk for spring

Spring girly desk or bedside table ideas for a girly shabby chic bedroom, how to makeover your room for spring
Ahh spring, when the sun comes out and fills your room with all kinds of pretty light. Even if it is still cold outside! Here are some girly ways to dress up your desk and give your space a mini makeover for spring, a home decor 'spring clean'. When sprucing up my space for the new season I always think small changes can have a big impact, especially if you have gotten used to your surroundings over time. Here are some pretty home decor ideas, how to makeover your bedroom, desk or home for spring.

. A pretty mug for your desk. Okay this doesn't count as stationery but you could use it, not only for hot drinks, but to hold pens and pencils, or even pieces of jewellery for a bedside table.

Tape a magnetic strip or piece of double sided sticky tape inside the rim to secure bobby pins, pencil sharpeners, all the little useful bits and pieces that always get lost I just need a big one for odd socks

I got round to purchasing this eyes shut Miss Etoile mug, it's been on my wishlist for ages and I finally found it for £13 on the Twinings website, much cheaper than the usual £18! It's the loveliest thing, it's a really big mug too which makes it perfect for holding all kinds of bits and pieces even almost socks

. Pretty books on your desk - pepper your workspace, bedside table, dressing table, wherever you might be stationed with a few decorative and dreamy books. Mix up your revision guides or novel collections with a few pretty pastel covers. You could even make your own covers for books using any fabric you like, pretty books also make great photo props too for all you bloggers out there.

. Cute jars for storage - my white bunny jar came from Home Bargains, I think it cost between £1 and £2 and is a really nice big size to put all sorts of bits and bobs in. Right now I have a Yankee candle votive in there, some hair clips and pretty lace clippings. It's somewhere to display pretty things whilst keeping them safe. I also have a pink opaque jar to hide away things like tippex and blue tack.

. Hanging hearts - I bought this set of three wooden hearts from TheLittleLoveHeartCo on Etsy, the same place I purchased the gorgeous deer heart in my girly bedroom makeover post. These are smaller so are perfect for popping on your pin board your bed frame, or for hanging on your drawers.

I love the patterns, the two floral hearts remind me of Cath Kidston designs and the woodland creature print is my favourite, it's adorable! I've just noticed there are little birds and flowers in there too. They were packaged so beautifully and postage was free. I'm really loving shopping on Etsy at the moment!

. Easter or spring themed phone case - another way to work in some spring vibes is to change up your phone case. I always keep my phone next to me, especially when I am working on something and absolutely love my Fifi Lapin case. She is the most fashionable Easter bunny haha. You could even change up your phone wallpaper with this little soothing wallpaper compilation I made here
Spring girly desk or bedside table ideas for a girly shabby chic bedroom, how to makeover your room for springDo you love giving your space a yearly spring clean? I love incorporating little emblems of spring, whether that is florals, light and pastel hues and woodland creatures, they bring a feeling of sunshine to my space. Keeping bouquets of sunny fresh flowers like daffodils around is also a lovely idea

  3. I LOOOVE your mug! I know it's nothing new as you've shared it on your blog before, but every time I see it, I fall in love with it all over again. It's the cutest little thing! // I have a stemless wine glass with a clever print on it that I use to hold pens :) And for little bits and bobs, I like using jars or shallow dishes!

I admit that I'm not one for fresh flowers most of the time and usually immediately hang fresh flowers up to dry to give them more longevity, but fresh blooms are especially lovely for spring :) -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's
