I really love reading what people received for Christmas. For me it’s like living the whole Christmas morning experience all over again through others eyes. They make me happy haha, I have about four open to read while I burn my spiced white cocoa candle. I love learning about each thing and the sentimental values behind them. I love looking at all the pretty things. I had a lot of fun making my own, but the best gift of all was enjoying a lovely festive period full of all my family on different days.
The first item I received was this super fluffy white Topshop fleece here from Mitch. It’s like wearing a big marshmallow, so fluffy and comfy, like a mobile hibernation pod haha, so I even when I don’t feel good I can cosy up in this and still look stylish lol. I want to live in it all winter.
I received the Boudoir Eyes palette by Too Faced, which I didn’t ever expect. I had no idea anyone knew about my love for Too Faced and I absolutely love these previous editions. I think they have re released these palettes or made similar ones with different glossy packaging, but I love the older ones.
The packaging is the dream, the original little pink boxes with golden adornments, the modern Marie Antoinette vibes and the dreamy little cases inside are the prettiest palettes I’ve ever seen, I would buy them straightaway for the packaging alone. The little palettes themselves inside are equally adorable, asdfgh just the packaging with the snap shut magnetic closures, and it’s quite a heavy palette too.
Especially for the size of it overall, you get a really good amount of shadow and the Too Faced formulas like always are to die for. I remember always seeing the swirly pink boxes and thinking ‘if only’, as they are/were so darn expensive. I picked up the Natural Eyes palette back in autumn, slightly swatched so was much cheaper. I can’t wait to open and photograph and further review you, little one.
I got a Thumper sweatshirt from Mitch’s parents! I pop this under every pinafore I can find or chuck it on over leggings as a lounge top. I love love these easy comfy items and how cute this is too.
Mitch gifted me the British Rose set from The Body Shop. For some reason I didn’t have as much interest in this range when it was released, I think as I had a lot of rose related products to use up. This is the best and girliest rose scent, it’s delicate and fragrant and beautiful, it makes your skin smell like heaven. These are amazing to use, a thousand times more gorgeous to use than I thought they would be.
I am besotted with this trinket dish set, a cat shaped dish and mini mouse or gerbil one. It’s normally tricky to get your hands on merchandise for small furry animal enthusiasts/crazy gerbil people, I am absolutely delighted to have a trinket dish version of my tiny friends I can keep on my dresser haha.
I’ve never tried these Body Fantasies mists or sprays before but whoa these are good. They have a lovely strong throw and my favourite is the cotton candy scent, it smells like grape soda. They are definitely worth popping in your basket next time you’re in Boots or Superdrug, or browsing online.
I got a lovely Lilyflame candle in the ‘Fairy Dust’ scent. It is such a delicate and pretty scent but with a lovely throw too. I can smell it from the other side of the room without even lighting it. It’s the perfect candle for a cosy and relaxing evening.
Happy January all! What are you looking forward to? I can’t wait for pure and beautiful blue skies… that time when winter starts to feel a little gentler, a little lighter, we can start to feel a little freer ♡
