Every year I go looking for autumnal goodies, here are some lovely spooky bits and pieces I picked up last year! It’s probably a bit early but I love to see the whole run up to halloween as a celebration in
itself and I’m enjoying feeling creative and soaking in the autumnal ambience, all the smells and sights…
Watching the leaves, burning the candles, feeling in my element drawing up new ideas and finding inspiration in cosy pastel loveliness. I’m on an increased dose of Sertraline which has helped with mood and I’m attending CBT sessions too. I ended up in Tk Maxx after my first session hunting for treasures…
I bought a really cute candle! I saw ‘Pumpkin Spice’ and was immediately sold. The packaging is so cute, it reminds me of the expensive Laduree candle boxes, and the scent is gorgeous too. It’s so fragrant and strong, all those delightful and gorgeous vanilla-cookie-homey-cinnamon pumpkin pie smells.
I really want to collect about 1357 more so I don’t run out over the months ahead. Haha I definitely can’t bring myself to throw the outer packaging, the little bats and gold moon and stars are so perfect.
For £3.99 I picked up this lovely little ghost light in tk maxx, I have a thing about collecting ghost everything, I still keep little mini ghosts, prints, pins, keyrings and bits and bobs up and about all year round. He lives on my dressing table and I feel so happy whenever I look up and see him, and I remember it’s autumn time.
He has a little battery powered light inside that flickers like a real candle. I love that it’s safer and I don’t have to worry about leaving it lit or Oscar going near it. It’s also removable to pop in a tea light instead.
Ahhh the teatowel of dreams! It has little dogs dressed up in their Halloween costumes, pumpkins, vampires and ghosts. It was £5.99 and the cutest thing since sliced bread, I was gutted when I saw it sold out online so jumped at the chance when I spotted it in store amongst the other halloween teatowels.
Pumpkins, paws, candy corn, tongues sticking out. My idea of halloween haha, plus a gerbil or two.
I’m starting Lamotragine right now, which is exciting for me! I’m trying not to get too excited but I’m so high on the thought of being normal and breaking out and living for me. I’m going gently and planning and contemplating what seem like the barmiest career decisions. I think I’m a bit hyped up haha ♡
