Happy Friday everyone! It’s easy to feel a lot of pressure while blogging, am I thinking about branding, making my best images? Am I SEO friendly? It is so lovely to forget everything for a minute and go snap happy with the camera on a 27c afternoon in late June, the sun with its haze turning everything milk pink in your gaze. This is why I love blogging. Here is a little summery daytrip photo diary…
I try to capture it with my camera, the felicity and fragility of a summer’s day through lavender glazed houses, windows flung open, liquid rooftops and sun caught spider webs.
Windermere is full of cute holiday cottages, I love photographing it every season. Something beautiful but currently less recognised in blogging is the awe in the every day, one need only seek out flowers/cobwebs/sun warmed streets to find beauty.
The Lakes is renowned for being an expensive place but it is possible to enjoy it at little to no cost at all, especially with totally free rail/bus replacement service at the moment. I sip my only just afforded £1 iced tea from Booths, rest my back against the warm whole mound of bench and relish the feeling of being a stowaway. I love the ice cream coloured houses and their beautiful little names.
Coming down the hill I spotted this gorgeous vintage style car, a Morris Minor I think (someone correct me haha!) I completely fell for the beautiful colour, tan seats, fingernail curves of the body.
The tiny and lovely things we can find everywhere that are little miracles in themselves. By showing, telling, showcasing how beautiful they are through our lens maybe we can create a world far more rich, colourful and opulent than the expensive tropical resort. Maybe that is what blogging is, an insight in to a world different to your own, twisted all beautiful and differently.
Like when you bite in to a strawberry and taste a little decay, the first roses are now starting to turn and shrivel, making room for the next ones. Where do you go to find peace? For me, I like to find a place with endless flowers, cottages, cobwebs and sun warmed streets ♡
How wonderful! I think it is important to focus on being inspired and creating content that makes you happy, rather than over thinking the SEO and all of that stuff. <3
