The weather has been so lovely lately and there are late blossoms still around, it has felt like a kind of paradise stepping outside to air that is as warm as it is inside. Oh, to open the windows and let the hot air in and wear
shorts and skorts and eat peaches and strawberries in the garden! If I am not so tired tomorrow we will paddle in the beck, it’s like a natural kind of paddling pool. Here are some material things I’ve been absolutely loving…
I went and bought the Dunelms toulouse trunk from my wish list here. It is beautiful, I’m thrilled with it and it’s so easy to move around, it’s much lighter than I thought. It may have accidentally become a clothes stand!
The detailing and bow motifs on the side are so darling, it exudes french chateau glamour. It’s a really lovely size too and there is room inside to store anything, it’s perfect for a hoarder like me. It’s such a welcome addition and I can even keep nappies and wipes in there for when Oscar wakes in the night.
It has definitely saved me from the floordrobe situation that was happening in my room.
I am currently waiting to try a free Body yoghurt from The Body Shop. I found this offer on Gratisfaction, I’ve been using it a lot recently, it’s really fun and satisfying haha. It’s worth checking out their free stuff here, it’s so helpful to know where to find free samples if you’re a blogger and don’t have much budget to spare, it’s a great way of finding new products to review. I love to enter competitions in my free time so I use it for that too!
These mini cartons of Ben n Jerry’s are the cutest! They are a little over £1 in my local Asda and come in pocket sized tubs so you are less likely to overindulge. Not that that will stop me haha, I bought two tubs. Mine is strawberry cheesecake flavour, with mini cookie pieces and strawberries in there too. It is second only to my beloved Birthday Cake Ben n Jerry’s, it’s like eating a tub full of ice cream cake… heavenly.
The striped and plaid fabric hearts on my dressing table came from Poundland. I popped in after visiting my local Primark feeling gutted about their home section getting smaller and smaller… when I came across the mother of all home sections in none other than Poundland! They had little rustic jugs and vases for 25p or 50p each and lots of little trinkets, ornaments, candles and wall decorations. I was there for half an hour!
I also bought these Chupa Chup strawberry and cream tea lights because they smelt so good and sweet and the strawberry and cream flavour lolly was my childhood favourite! I have vivid memories of buying them from Woolworths and those soft indoor play centres, I always pined for sweets when it was time to go home haha!
I so hope this makes sense haha, I am so tired writing it! How was your weekend?
