I cannot believe my little chou is now 6 months! It’s amazing to watch him transform from his walrus-like baby chub to a lovely growing little boy. He is very sweet natured and loves to
pose for photographs, despite just having woken up and nagging me for a bottle. He is very patient and doesn’t cry when I have to put him down to answer the door. His recent big development is tooth growing; although he doesn’t like us to look, he’s always feeling around his gums and sucking on them. It’s like he has noticed his mouth starting to feel different.
Foodwise, we have been trying some little breakfast meals with baby rice, along with his little lunch pots. It’s really interesting how he reacts to each different flavour. We are still leaving a day in between where he just has milk as sometimes he gets quite constipated and uncomfortable. He’s a big fan of veggies but not too big on water or juice just yet!
Oscar is gaining core strength in his stomach and back and prefers to sit or stand up in his bouncer to look around. He is fascinated by candles when I light them! I use a pillow to carefully prop him up in his playpen and he has many tumbles but is getting better at balancing his strength. His little curled in feet seem to have straightened out more *yay!* and he likes to grab his toes and suck on them. On a good day we will read together and he loves looking at the little pictures and wanting to turn the pages – although he gets quite bored and fidgety easily!
He still talks a lot and has taken to shouting at me in the mornings when he wants to get up, just sort of an ‘euuuuh!!’ noise. His hair is still very auburn! Maybe he will be our little redhead? Thank you for reading and following little Oscar’s progress! Stay tuned for next month!
