…And breathe. A beautiful name for such a little bottle of loveliness.
“Escape to the valley of roses. A concentrated perfume oil infused with Atlas Mountain Rose. This bright, dewy blend of floral accords was inspired by dawn in a field of blossoming roses.”
Those who read my ‘Five products to Pin’ post know that this made it on to my top 5 to try. I had already sampled this after my sister bought some but, not content with sharing my her bottle, I had to get my own!
The perfume oil comes in a diddy little bottle with a strange application wand. Personally I find this difficult and fiddly to use so usually apply by tipping it upside down when pressed against my wrist – much quicker and easier. That aside, it’s handy for when travelling as it slips easily in to any handbag or even pocket.
Many rose perfumes can be too sweet and fake, and ‘grannyish’ as I like to call them. The Body Shop prides itself on using natural, environmentally friendly ingredients and the scent itself is not synthetic at all, nor does it contain alcohol. The scent is very fresh, rose like and exotic, without being too ‘flowery’. It’s reminds me of summer and makes me think of a Turkish rose field. As I said on my other post, it’s comparable to Lush’s ‘Turkish Delight’ – it’s that good!
Can be worn almost anywhere and the staying power is amazing – I can still smell it on my gloves now! It’s only a little bottle but packs a punch – it’s much better quality than many celebrity and high end brand ones I’ve tried. Sometimes the simplest things work best me thinks! 🙂
Overall it’s a little bottle of loveliness with excellent staying power, and very perfect for spring.
These oils cost about 7 quid each and can be enjoyed as part of the Scents Of The World collection
