Modern white swan inspired outfit ft Boohoo*

Inspired by the swans that haunt the river in my town I decided to attempt an Odette or white swan inspired outfit, using this beautiful flowing skater dress by Boohoo. During the days of taking of these photos the
temperature rocketed to almost 20c! It felt heavenly to have the outside just as warm as the inside, being surrounded by soft, warm air. It is so curious to experience this kind of weather after such a snowy March.

Now it's snowing blossoms, the weather has normalised and back down to a cool 9c and even though the showers have returned, the magnolia is plentiful, the blooms have accelerated in growth and I can scarcely catch my breath trying to keep up with it all, snatching my camera off its shelf many times in a day in an attempt to catch the blossoms before they go! I spend my nights up until midnight trying to edit flower photos with some Vanessa Carlton or watching BBC's The Woman in White Victorian era based spooky series yess

This is the cutest dress, it's giving me Snow White vibes. If Snow White lived in modern times, I imagine she would wear this. It's the most curious garment, lace shoulders juxtaposed with colourful ikat trim on the waist and sleeves offering bohemian vibes, but I love it entirely, all the cute details really work together.

It even comes with rainbow plaited drawstrings attached so I think it might be possible to tie the dress up this way, although I prefer to wear it undone as like in the photo here, it's more of a casual look. The sun was just beginning to filter through the magnolia trees and it was really fun playing with sunlight in these snaps.

The neckline and back remind me a little of Jenna's dress in Victoria here. I really love the classical feel to this dress, the flared sleeves and neckline, along with its unconventional features such as the tassel drawstrings. The two styles marry perfectly, it's the perfect modern twist on a traditional looking garment.

It feels floaty and light, like I'm wearing a cloud. It's the perfect festival number, complete with an underskirt, so your dress isn't likely to react hastily to a sudden turn in the breeze haha. Whether you're going for a romantic look or bohemian chic, this dress will come through beautifully for both looks and is so comfy too.

There's so much freedom to style it how you like. I wore a little vest underneath, anticipating the weather to be colder than it was, plus the neckline came a little further down on me so I wanted to cover up a bit more.

I snapped these photos just round the corner from where I took my broderie dress outfit snaps. Every time I return to this place there is something different, now the early blossoms have gone and the magnolia has taken over; next we might have the later blossoms and then the roses and climbers, no shortage of blooms to admire!

I crafted a feather crown to wear with this look. I love the textures together and the angel 'halo' look of wearing a fluffy crown haha, it was really cheap and easy to make too, albeit a little fiddly! I bought the feathers on ebay for just under £2 and used gorilla glue to stick them on an existing headband.

I paired it with these boots from Primark for a pop of blush pink. Like a magnolia petal, pink turned to white.

I feel like I'm gaining confidence in my outfit posts, I am often afraid to smile for fear of looking creepy and instead look lost in time and space haha. Though, judging by my outfits, I am definitely a girl lost in time
