Packing for a Christmas vacation

What's in my suitcase
There's something about the concept of island living I feel so deeply drawn to. Despite living in the Lakes, I feel so at home in a tropical climate, though it feels very different to where I live in the world. I've always felt
an incredible 'pull' to visit the Caribbean and also the Polynesian islands not just from watching Moana. After years of entering competitions and crossing our fingers my mum managed to find cheap flights on a whim to Barbados! She kindly invited us on holiday with her and now we are preparing to spend the festive season abroad, going from a winter wonderland straight to summer! Here are some cute things in my case.
What's in my suitcase
I took my sheep bag with me when I went to Sri Lanka, it's lovely and spacious and I think it's so cute! It's always a conversation starter so I love to take it with me when I travel. You can't take Cumbria out of the girl.
What's in my suitcase
Here are a couple of buys from Forever21, some clear and white plastic sandals that remind me of the 'jelly shoes' I used to wear as a kid! Did anyone else used to love wearing these? I saw them in the sale and my inner five year old felt so happy, jelly shoes just adult versions. I still wish they were glittery though.
What's in my suitcase
I found this cute bustier crop top in Forever21 too, it's pink as always! I don't own many crop tops baby belly is real but I love how they look with skirts. This one has tiny gold studs on the straps, it's so pretty.
What's in my suitcase
I found these sweet graphic t shirts for Oscar in Primark, only £1.30 each with such cute slogans and designs! It's so much fun packing for him, cramming in a load of vests as he goes through them so quickly and they are so lightweight and easy to layer; I love how you can transform a winter outfit to summer outfit in seconds.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my last posts, I can't wait to read and reply between travelling! I hope you liked this rambly little post haha, I thought I'd leave out the usual suncream and towels part, there has been so much to pack this time! I think my mum found the tickets on Holiday Gems with Thomas Cook, it's worth checking out to see what deals you can find, I will drop the link here

  8. A Christmas holiday to Barbabos sounds nice. I lived inj Fiji for a bit as a little girl but don't remember a lot. I've never been to Barbados or elsewhere in the Caribbeaean, but I bet it's good to visit. Lovely weather and beaches! Have a great holiday! :)

I used to wear the jelly shoes too, lol.
