December photo diary and new babies*

December pink photo diary
Hello December, hello pretty festive lights, snow on the hills, going to the Christmas markets and buying fried potatos and boffins, ending up broke and realising I'm not cut out to be Santa, catching up on blogmas posts
while eating cinnamon grahams and marshmallow fluff, and hello baby gerbils turned three weeks old!

1. The Meadow range from Wax Lyrical* I'm in love with this home fragrance range, it has me dreaming of warmer climes. This candle would make the perfect gift for any spring/summer lover or a sweet gesture for someone you know has been struggling with the cold, dark days. It's made locally to me, in the Lake District, and offers a slice of the seasons we have here, a lush fragrance of sweet wildflowers on a base of dreamy amber. It's the perfect pick me up, the packaging is so elegant and beautiful too. I can't wait to review it in full.

2. Sugarplum beauty favourites... Lush's Magic Wand Bubble Bar (I won in Heather's giveaway!), Essie nail polish in MixTaupe, Too Faced Melted lipstick in Metallic Peony I picked up in TK Maxx for £5.99 and the new fragrance Stash 'Unspoken' by Sarah Jessica Parker*, a milky floral fragrance that contains pink peppercorn, peony and sandalwood. It's so dreamy while exuding notes of glamour and sophistication, picture a luxury suite with fresh flowers mmm... it's available to buy very soon at Superdrug!

3. The pretty pink streets of Keswick during the festive season, set against a backdrop of fells. I love the Narnia lanterns! See my festive shabby chic decor post here for even more photos from my shopping trip.

4. Snow coated hills peeking out behind Lake Windermere. I took this photo on the bus, the views are so beautiful and sitting upstairs gives you such a boost compared to taking photos on the ground, the only con is that you get photo bombed by trees haha! I keep wondering what it might be like to take photos with a drone.

5. My room right now, the Sugar Plum Fun set and cute star dish from Home Bargains on my dressing table.

6. Welcome to the world little babies! Breeding gerbils is such an exciting project we've been embarking on and Oscar is so interested in the babies, especially now that their eyes have opened and they can finally explore and rush about everywhere, teeny versions of their parents now rather than little pink aliens. There are four altogether, two boys and two girls, two of agouti (brown) colour, one light colourpoint agouti (white/grey) and one lcp agouti spotted (white). Head over to my instagram to see snaps and videos of them on my stories!

7. A view from my window on a frosty morning. Those little priceless moments, how lovely that they are free. Going downstairs together with bare feet, the first breath of outside air you take on a sunny morning.

8. When you Christmas shop for yourself oops and end up poor as a church mouse gerbil because you wanted a set so badly. I don't think I've ever wanted a Too Faced palette as much as the Sugar Plum Fun one, sadly this one was a US exclusive but I just had to get it to come to the UK. Ebay is my best friend, I always seem to end up broke after going on there haha! I can't wait to review this baby fully on my blog, there are so many pretty shades and it even came with a full sized mascara, eye primer and limited edition creme lipstick.

Let me know your favourites and your December traditions! I'd love to invite you to enter my Disney and beauty goodies giveaway, I can't wait to pick a winner and send them a lovely present before the year is out!

  6. Aww, the baby gerbils are so cute! I'd love another gerbil, I last had one when I was a teen, but I think my cat would probably eat it for dinner :/ Adorable though! x www.aimeeraindropwrites.co.uk x
