Travel photo tips with Clifton cameras*

Girly travel photography tips
Today's post is a little different, I am collaborating with favourite camera company Clifton cameras, who stock a huge range of travel cameras lenses, essentials and underwater cases, to bring you some handy tips on taking
travel photos, equipment you might need, places to visit and angles to try to get the best instagram snaps! It's getting me excited for our own little adventure that we have booked for December. Here's their handy guide and keep reading to learn some of the tricks I use when editing my own blog and instagram snaps ;)
I'd love to go to aaaall these places haha, especially Hawaii and the Great Barrier Reef, Moana style, they look incredible. I'd love to try using a drone one day, so many of these look amazing. Now some tips of my own...
Girly travel photography tips
I use PicMonkey to edit my blog photos as it's really affordable, easy to use and I love the range of tools available. My favourites to use are 'Curves', 'Clone' and 'Mascara', yes you read that right. I use the Mascara or Eye Brighten tool to pick out and emphasise the textures in my photos and make little details stand out.

I use Afterlight to edit photos on my phone and iPad. I love to use the 'blue highlight' tool to cancel out the yellow in my photos and make them cooler. Come winter, I often have artificial light on in the background so my photos look a little 'warmer'. Afterlight really helps to tone them down, lighten them up and sharpen them, instagram ready! It cost me one payment of 79p and it's definitely worth the money, I use it all the time.

I use Planoly to plan my instagram feed as I've never found anything else like it, it's so helpful! I started with the free trial and got hooked, now I pay for it every month (around £8) but it's worth it to plan my feed down to the last detail. I have so many photos on there, it takes a while to load them all haha!

What are your secret photo tips? Let me know! Has reading this given you serious wanderlust like me?

  2. These are nice tips! I love PicMonkey too, it's such an easy tool to use. I'd never heard about Planoly but it must be great to plan your Instagram shots ahead, and at a reasonable price!
