Summer decor wish list

Summer decor blog wish list
One of the most exciting parts of moving house, or welcoming in a new season, is introducing some new home decor pieces. Think palm prints, beach wood and shells for summer, scented candles with
berries, sweet, smoky vanilla or a breath of sea salt, depending on your preference, and maybe a few designer pieces from Nest... a girl can dream! Here are a few things I've been lusting after lately.

1. Ferm Living Grid Laundry Basket, Nest - I love the checked design of this storage basket, it's so cute and dreamy! It offers a certain Scandinavian feel with the minimalist print and would look adorable in any room. It's unisex too so would be perfect for both ours and little boy's room.

2. Natural Himalayan salt lamp - I have wanted to buy one of these for so long! There is something very beautiful, enthralling about it and so cosy. I imagine cosying up on a summer's night, under quilt, with the window open, incense burning, and basking in the ethereal glow of one of these babies.

3. Ferm Living Quilt Cushion Rose, Nest - How gorgeous is this quilt? It would be perfect to add a rosy pop of colour to white walls and furniture, the perfect summer home accessory.

4. Eleanor Fabric photo frame, Sass & Belle - I couldn't help throwing in a couple of beautiful photo frames from Sass & Belle, I'm forever going gooey eyed over them! This floral print is reminiscent of summer blooms and picnics and I would love to invite it to sit by my bedside table this season.

5. Norman Copenhagenn step up bookcase, Nest - I love the design of this bookcase, the step up design is very quirky and reminds me of a piece you might find in a beach house, decorated in tiny shells, crystals and pieces of driftwood. It would make a very sweet addition to our first home.

6. Skandinavisk Berry Scented Candle, Nest - I light just as many candles in summer as in winter and this berry scent sounds perfect for celebrating summer in the Lakes. Said to be reminiscent of family trips to forage for berries in the forest and of warm, zingy sauces poured over ice cream...

7. &Tradition MILK Table Lamp, Nest - This lamp is so cosy and relaxing, perfect for adding a touch of serenity to a room and the wooden legs give a homely, rustic feel. It would be such a lovely investment for all kinds of seasons and make time indoors or rainy days that little bit sweeter.

8. Hemnes Dressing table, IKEA - The dressing table was an essential part of the 19th century home. I'm hoping with Oscar having his own room I might be able to afford room for my own! This table from Ikea is my favourite so far; so dreamy, yet affordable, and exudes shabby chic vibes.

9. Capiz Clam Shell Dish - This shell dish is exquisite and exudes mermaid vibes! I'm all about bringing the outside in during the summer months, so I love to invest in natural materials, although making my own would be more environmentally friendly and just as beautiful!

10. Lili Palm Print Tapestry, Urban Outfitters - I'm really loving exotic tapestries at the moment, jewel tones with woven textures, exuding summer, bohemian vibes, but this pink palm print number is a perfect compromise, offering a pop of pastel to accord with my room, with a tropical palm leaf print.

11. Rose Confetti Vintage teapot, Harrods - This teapot is so cute and whimsical, it awakens my inner child and has me wanting to plan a tea party. I found this cheaper option which is equally as beautiful!

12. Copper Finish Mini photo frame, Sass & Belle - This photo frame has me dreaming of another era. It's also on trend with the copper-rose gold movement and the wildflower motif is so darling.

What did you think of my picks? I'm longing to move, then I can justify shopping for home decor haha!

  9. Decor and furniture is the only good thing about the whole moving process.
I really really hate it it's so stressful. I'm looking for a of-campus apartment and it has been so hard to find anything!
I loved your picks! Primark, is also a really good place to buy unexphensive decor pieces!
