Too Faced, Peanut butter & jelly palette

Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly palette review

Pretty florals, check. Cream, blush hues, check. Bow bag, check. We usually associate spring with baby pinks and pastel shades but I can’t get enough Peanut Butter and Jelly this season. This palette sports the

most delectable assortment of rich nut-browns, plus that all important pop of purple; savoury yet sweet.

Happiness comes in the most adorable, quirky little box, complete with gold adornments and little peanut illustrations. Sliding the palette out from the box you can almost detect the moreish aroma of chocolate covered pretzels, although perhaps it is my nose quivering in anticipation. The palette itself, although small, is of a good weight, and similar to the Chocolate Bon Bon palette with its cool magnetic closure.

The peanut adorned lid gives way to the prettiest ambers, russets and warm burnt caramels the eye ever did see. Purples are rich and decadent and the whole thing smells just like chocolate covered pretzels, the perfect amount of sweetness and certainly not overpowering. Here is an overview of the shades.

Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly palette review

Spread the Love is a matte light peach, Peanut Butter, a matte toffee caramel shade, Peanut Butter cup, a shimmery metallic chocolate hue, Bananas, the most gorgeous shimmering gold, Peanut Brittle, a shimmery copper, Jammin’ is a curious dark gunmetal purple, almost brown hue with lots of sparkle, Extra Creamy is a disappointingly barely there matte white, Jelly an electric shimmery violet and Nuts About U a beautiful matte terracotta. All excepting Extra Creamy, they are seriously pigmented!

The formula is very similar to the Chocolate Bon Bons but I can’t get over how beautiful the shades are together. They are everything I hoped for and more and so fun to layer and create different looks. I love how the rich shades look with my warm complexion, I instantly feel more confident when wearing these. There is very little fallout, compared to the White Chocolate Chip palette and the bolder shades last for hours. I really love the lil Glamour guide tucked inside, with hints and tips as to how to wear the shades.

I have always been so curious to know as to what this actually smelt like, as a stranger to a peanut butter and jam or jelly combination. It is so addictive and moreish, at the same time like caramel ice cream. I’ve been getting it out of my draw just to open and smell it, so sweet and delicious! I will definitely be wearing this on a picnic soon. Have you ever tried peanut butter and jelly before? ♡

I actually saw it when I went to Ulta yesterday! To me it smelled like vanilla wafers! I really liked the palette! I didn't swatch it because I didn't want to tempt myself into buying more things I don't really need, but it looks beautiful! Maybe I'll add it to my collection once I get over my obsession with the Modern Renaissance Palette xxx

I have this palette, and I loved a lot of the shades, but Jammin' was soooo disappointing. It was so weakly pigmented and showed as more of a murky brown with a bit of glitter – none of that gorgeous plum purple in the pan. Bananas is, hands down, my favourite shade in the palette.

I'm a poor excuse for a blogger in the sense that I don't have this palette and have never tried it. I've heard plenty of good things about it though and the shades are beautiful, I'm loving how everything looks so natural and then you get one which is so colourful!

Too Faced always have such cute packagings, I can't get over it. I love the shades, they all look so usable (maybe apart from Jelly, not sure if that would look good on me). Definitely need to check it out 🙂

This is such a pretty palette! The shades are gorgeous, although Jelly is a bit too bright for me. Maybe as a liner it could work nicely. I'm really curious about the scent, it seems really nice the way you describe it 😀
