My April photo diary

Spring blog photo diary
I thought I would do a little montage of what I've been getting up to this spring. Ten points anyone who spotted I've got my pug sheets upside down haha! Our moving plans are still sadly up in the air due to
dealing with a toxic house buying situation, but I am proud of my tiny little refuge, abode, sanctuary.

Also for making a clean, cosy home for us, sorting out clutter and finding new ways to maximise space. I found these faux flowers in Home Bargains recently, they are so pretty and amazing as photo props.

The results of walking under a grove of blossom trees at the moment! The trees by the river are just beginning to bloom and it makes me so happy to see the candyfloss clusters everywhere, especially when I'm pushing Oscar along the bridge. Don't you feel like singing when you see them? Just me haha.

I recently found this Fifi Lapin wallpaper on Pinterest here and it was so cute not to share. It's so fun to give my phone a spring makeover, decked out in ice cream hues, spending ages on Cocoppa and cleaning up the apps I don't use. I swear Fifi Lapin is my spirit animal, so cute and chic. I love her style!

Mitch and I did a spot of Easter baking together, something that we used to do before parenting took over. We made a chocolate sponge and I whipped up a vanilla cream filling for the middle and decorated with Mitch's signature chocolate caramel sauce and some tiny mini eggs! Baking is something we love to do, especially oriental dishes; it would be wonderful to have this time again once we have moved.
Hello baby boy! Oscar has recently discovered mirrors, among other things like toilet cleaners and wetting his fringe in the bathroom. He will come in the room with drippy, bubbly hands and just plaster his forehead with them haha. He also loves to clean the floor with babywipes and fetch things from the fridge for you gets distracted by milk and brings that instead he will now have a go at saying most words!

You may have noticed that my blog recently underwent a header makeover, designed by the lovely Giada at Miel Cafe Design. I'm in love with the camera strap design and can you spot the little ice cream in the camera lens? So cute! I love Giada's attention to detail and she has done a wonderful job.

My Heihei! Our gerbils Sushi and Heihei were definitely the highlight of my month, that feeling of bringing them home in their little pet carrier was so amazing, taking them on the bus with passengers joking that I was taking them for a trip out haha. I posted about them here and their new home!

If you'd like to see more pics just follow me on instagram, I will be posting lots more food, room and gerbie pics. Let me know your account below, lets make friends and follow each other!

  14. What a lovely post! I'm loving spring and the flowers blossoming in the trees as well. I did notice your new header, it's super pretty - and I didn't notice the ice cream in the camera lens, that's an amazing detail and makes it so personal :D Good luck with house hunting, it's not an easy task but keep motivated and one day you'll find the right place for your little family!

I particularly like the featured hairstyle in the second picture. The flowers were a pretty finishing addition.
