Papa Don't Peach gloss, Too Faced

Too Faced Papa don't Peach gloss review
Hello beloved new Too Faced peach baby fangirl alert could a lipgloss be cuter? This is my first piece of the new peach collection from Debenhams and I am head over heels. The pigmentation is amazing and it
smells delicious: I can't resist its sweet fragrance, just like peach sorbet or those candy necklace sweets.

I never feel I can do the packaging justice, nor can I throw the box away. In true Too Faced style, it is a work of art in itself! I savour every detail, the little peach emojis, twirly script and gold adornments.

I was originally torn between the shades but, after swatching them in store, was immediately drawn to 'Papa don't Peach', such a beautiful caramel nude shade, a darker, more taupe like take on the other nudes. Each gloss possesses a doe foot applicator, which I find easier to use than the Melted lipstick applicator.

It's so flattering, a perfect 'my lips but better' hue and the formula itself is so smooth, light and creamy, non sticky and smells like summer. I was shocked to see how opaque this gloss is, it is almost entirely nontranslucent and highly pigmented. For a gloss it delivers such a intense pop of colour!

Instead of swatching on my wrist this time I thought I would share a snap of how it looks worn. Papa Don't Peach is quite natural but I can imagine the brighter hues being really bold, intense pops of colour, perfect for summer! This shade goes so perfectly with the White Chocolate Chip eye palette.

Much like many a gloss the longevity isn't fabulous. Despite the high end price tag, it doesn't stay on for longer than a meal, although I couldn't fault the formula otherwise. It's so pleasant to wear, creamy and deeply conditioning, and does stay on well considering how smooth and non-sticky it is. However, I should mention that it does tend to transfer quite a bit, given how pigmented it is.

Is it a worthwhile purchase for £16? For me, yes! Too Faced is my guilty pleasure haha. I love how sweet and original their products are and how much of a joy they are to use. They capture a kind of childlike wonder within me and are of such good quality too. They are like precious jewels to me haha.

  13. I don't own a single lipgloss in my makeup collection haha - the super glowy and (often) sticky finish isn't my favourite. However, this range sounds great - opacity is great. Papa Don't Peach is actually a really pretty shade, and it almost looks as pigmented as an actual lipstick! Your photos are lovely, as always. <3

    1. Thank you so much Julia, awww so kind of you! I'm not one for glosses either, they just feel icky haha, but for me this is more like a super conditioning liquid lipstick, don't let the name gloss fool you! So sweet of you ahhh :D ♡

  14. Shock horror - I haven't tried any of the Too Faced Sweet Peach collection! I'm not really a big fan of super heavily-scented makeup and this range smells a bit too sickly sweet for me. Saying that, I love the shade and it's nice to hear that it has opaque pigmentation and feels super nourishing thanks to the oil! I'll have to head to my local counter and give it a swatch at least :)

    1. Thanks so much Alice, aw that's totally understandable! I have a fetish for novelty makeup haha xD it is such a lovely product and very good quality, but I can understand the fact that it's scented might be a turn off :D ♡
