Romantic look for casual days

Cute romantic vintage style outfit
My number one resolution for 2017 is to challenge myself, to experiment, to be unapologetic in what I create. I want to 'push the boat out beyond the reef' like in Moana. I've been yearning to try another
ootd since my swing coat so decided to take advantage of a sunny afternoon, soon as one arrived.

My favourite part of this outfit is the bell sleeves: I am so in love with this top! I found it on a whim for £4 in the New Look sale and it fits like a glove. The neckline is so flattering and the bell sleeves look like they should belong on a medieval gown. It's so perfect for adding a little romance to a casual outfit.

I adore the pretty blush pink hue! I have paired with opaque black tights/leggings and Primark skater skirt. The skirt material is so thick and cosy, it's my go to in winter time and perfect for the holidays. You can find a review of this ring from Gemporia on my blog here, I love the simple, classic, minimalist feel!

The mini skirt acts as a bit of a modern twist - I often use them to introduce vintage pieces to a modern day outfit - and I love how they come together to create a flattering shape. Fit and flare skirts are my favourite! I've been so conscious about the rest of the baby weight around my middle lately, I'm working hard and determined to get back to my goal weight. Maybe then we will have ever more outfit posts!

I did come to the conclusion that this is more of a spring time outfit unless you are a snow fairy or character from Frozen can bear the freezing temperatures, but it's so easy to layer up, to tuck in a jumper or cardie or even don a hooded cloak. If New Look offered us the latter, I would definitely take advantage. What do you love to wear in winter? Do you have any resolutions for 2017?

  10. What a gorgeous outfit! I love the blush and red together, and the bell sleeves are a fun detail that give a medieval vibes without going overboard. Primark is such an incredible shop, too. I wish they'd bring it to the US!!

  13. This is such a cute combo! First off, though, I want to say that upon clicking on your blog I was blown away by how beautiful it looks. I love the pastel theme so much! Also, I really do love the top that you're wearing, it's such a lovely colour and goes well with the skirt.

In answer to your question, in the winter I love to wear jumpers combined with skinny jeans - comfy and cosy, seeing as I actually find skinny jeans nice to wear; that's about it. I don't tend to get too creative. :)
