Now we are getting fully acquainted with October and the season is in full swing. To celebrate I have my pumpkin all ready to carve and sparkle nails: Pink Lemonade under Maybelline's Color Show Knitted
Gold. I was so grateful this month to receive a package from wax melt connoisseurs Scent Circus to review. In a little drawstring bag, wrapped in confetti filled tissue paper are an assortment of dainty engraved wax disks. I love that the confetti was personalised, it's those little details that make me swoon!
The wax melts come individually wrapped, each with an adorable name. When opened they smell absolutely divine! I was surprised how life like the scents are: Autumn Snuggles posseses a mouthwatering aroma of autumn cooking. You can definitely detect the hot buttery caramel, cocoa and cinnamon! It smells seriously edible - don't eat though! - and has a little engraved glittery leaf on top.
So Horny is a sugary, pear scented, rainbow unicorn melt and awakens the giddy child in me as it smells exactly like childhood sweets! This is the most curious melt for me, not least because of the name (I finally realised where it was coming from, the unicorn's horn, duh!) but for the intricate design on the front
too pretty to melt. The scent is so juicy, sweet and addictive with notes of peach and apple.
Fairy Poop is another of my favourites - and the name amusing! The design really does look a bit like that emoji, or a cupcake with swirly, glittery icing. These came in a mini size and I received two in a pack.
They have a delicate, dreamy, floral, rose like scent that is very soft and feminine, perfect if you like subtle, fresh scents that aren't too overpowering. I love that I have two so I can strengthen the fragrance.
The name 'Cutie Pie' definitely accords with this adorable melt! It remind me of a Jammie Dodger and smells just like warm, tangy apple pie, the kind that autumn is made from. The scent throw for this one is incredible, fills whole rooms and has a moreish spicy kick to it. This is my favourite melt for autumn!
Flamingo Fizz has quite a peculiar scent to me. Smelling like buttery, caramel candy or strawberry ice cream, it has quite a milky edge to it as well as a fruity one. Fruity notes include strawberry and pink grapefruit, infused with a pop of champagne fizz and it will be a winter warmer for the months to come.
I am seriously so impressed with the melts, they have an incredible scent throw, similar to Lush bath bombs and are one of my favourite discoveries so far this year! I'm thinking of ordering some for my partner's mum and my sister. I can definitely say I'm a wax convert, although I wouldn't hesitate to invest if Scent Circus ever created a candle range, made from the same premium soy wax.
I had so much fun taking these pictures! It felt a bit like a Cinderella theme with the pumpkin and all the cooking smells. I definitely recommend investing in these this season, they have such true to life fragrance and are so affordable. I love how our little flat now smells like an Autumn wonderland!
