This is the second Glossybox I've tried, since signing up again, which came a little earlier this month! This box wasn't my favourite and really brought it home to me how 'hit and miss' it is
with beauty subscription boxes, as you can receive many products that are not appropriate for ones skin type or beauty regime. It was fun to give them a go, however, and I did find a new favourite in form of The Body Shop's Oils of Life, a luxurious facial oil that is kind to my skin and lovely to use. Here's my verdict on what was in my box this month!
The Body Shop, Oils of Life facial oil: This was hinted as a little spoiler as part of the March box and something I was particularly excited to try, since The Body Shop are known for putting a lot of thought in to their products! It's only a little sample but the packaging is beautiful, a little golden pot for your dressing table. It smells lovely, a lot like lavender and dried flowers to me, and I like to put it on before I go to bed. It's very softening, with the full size retailing at £28.
Next up is this Essence Mosaic Compact powder, a light bronzer with a subtle hint of shimmer. I wasn't blown away by the pigmentation but it is quite build able and there is little to no fallout of product when used. I'm not sure how much use I will get out of this, as in all honesty it's not something I would pick up, but am looking forward to giving it a go. The geometric design is pretty cute!
Studio 10 Brow Lift Perfecting Liner: This brow pencil features a different shade at each end, a medium brown and a lighter shade presumably to highlight. The consistency is very solid, which might help with longeivity, but I feel that a creamier consistency would be gentler upon the delicate brow area. It also means that it is not quite as pigmented, compared to other brow products I have used.
Leighton Denny Miracle Mist for nails: This product is really interesting and will definitely be very useful if it works as it claims. It will be very 'handy' to be able to dry my nails in a few seconds, especially as I often don't have the time to wait for them to dry - Oscar is always making mischief! I feel like I have received a few of these from Glossybox in the past so it was not the most exciting product for me, however, I'm sure it will come in handy.
STYL London Temporary Henna Tattoo: The designs are really lovely and perfect for festival season, however, I am the least patient person when it comes to temporary tattoos! They take me back only to my childhood and the spiderman tattoos I used to collect in packs of candy sticks
My favourite product here is definitely The Body Shop oil, it's so nice! My favourite Glossybox products tend to be from brands I know and love and things I am excited to try based on that. Maybe I am biased, haha! What do you think of this month's box? ♡
