Tender is the March sky, the blossoms arching overhead as spring begins to stretch its graceful arms. The garden, to me, is the perfect embodiment of life and death. In a perfect circle,
again and again, the days and dusks bled in to each other, seasons came and went, and are now just ghosts of old times past. I can see you, I'm here, through the gossamer, silk wet skin separating me from old summers ago, to the winter days we spent yearning for spring and flowers. I'm so close I can smell the cold soil and bark from once when it rained and the aromatic, moss coated boughs and stems formed a sweet smelling cave around us.

It is a lonely place and so, in the wind and trees, and by ancient walls, live dangerous ghosts that want to trap you there. I must resist, again and again, and unleash myself from the garden, untie myself from its binding brackens, and take refuge no more in its forests and flowers.

I must stop finding myself there. I call this particular piece 'Haunted Blossoms' (above) and it is good to remember that the garden is a place of death as well as life. We can help to promote the process of decay and deterioration - it is very important for sustaining life - by keeping a compost heap: a lovely way to recycle our organic materials and return them to the earth.

I haven't brushed up on my writing skills for a while, so they are a little dusty! I've always been told to 'be clearer' or 'make sense' with my writing, but instead I tend to concentrate on the feelings and sensations that overwhelm me once I'm in a certain place, which can be quite abstract in themselves. This is just what I feel when in nature, when I'm walking and completely zone out. I find it very satisfying sharing them and creating awareness of how each simple moment can be so beautiful when in tune with nature or feeling at peace with one's surroundings. I love the part the mind plays in assembling all of these beautiful sensations.

I made these wallpapers to celebrate both the day of Ostara and the official coming of spring; I think blossoms and sakura are my favourite spring/summer flowers and these baby blossoms are too cute ♡ I love that we can care for garden life as it cares for us. I've got a series of daytrips lined up so hopefully I can bring my camera along and shoot some more spring scenes!
