Hello everyone, I hope your January is being good to you! I have the titanic soundtrack playing in my ears, while I'm working on a new little series of posts. These are dedicated to taking a
closer look at beauty products I found in the January sales, featuring ones I've always wanted to try after reading so many rave reviews, receiving recommendations on them or discovering them through browsing on the web. I'm really excited to try them all out so will be giving my honest opinion on each of them as I go along. Starting with this baby here...
Perhaps the king of my collection, the Soap and Glory 'Perfect Ten' palette, is half price at the moment in selected Boots stores, reduced to £8 from £16! The shades are angelic, ranging from pink-nudes to all essential rose-golds, with beautiful mattes and shimmers and they all make an excellent base for eye makeup. I nearly called my post 'Moon Mist and Cream Soda' because they are such gorgeous shades, with just the right amount of shimmer for an everyday look, yet can be taken up a notch with the use of a skilled hand
This is such a romantic palette with all its nude, neutral and skin-like shades. The only fault for me is that they are not as highly pigmented as other palettes and nowhere near as with cream formation eyeshadows, even with the highly anticipated 'Smoulder'. They do intensify when dampened but not enough to match my beloved Color Tattoo in pigmentation and longevity. That said, the matte shades really stand out to me, are of particularly nice quality, and all of them are impressively multi purpose and good in terms of fallout.

The formula picks up on your fingers very easily, as proved by the slightly messy picture above! But it does not crumble easily. It does not bother me: as much as I love the unctuous feeling of an untouched palette, I know I'm not alone in appreciating a well loved, worn-looking palette even more hehe. It's like compacted fairy dust and the case and packaging are beautiful with a pop art feel, much like the rest of Soap and Glory products. I prefer to use my fingers rather than the little brush because it is so small!
Have you tried Soap and Glory products? Do you prefer matte or shimmer shades? ♡
