My travelling outfit

I am writing from the south of France - my blogger dashboard has converted itself into french for me! I can now apercu mes articles before publishing them! (please let me know if that is completely incorrect - my limited knowledge of French is not near enough to impress anybody!) Our journey was good, considering we travelled with both baby and equipment this time, and Oscar grizzled a little but was mostly asleep on the plane. When travelling I try to dress in layers as it is often hot in the queues of people and getting off the plane, but chilly getting to the airport. Here are a few recent purchases that I wore when travelling.

Pretty pushlock satchel bag from Accessorize - I can never resist going in to their shop or store, whatever place I am in and the departure lounge was no exception! I absolutely love just wandering round and admiring all of the sparkly displays, paper flowers and pastel hues. I think this bag is an online exclusive - I had been saving up for the Boxing Day sales to get it, but didn't want to chance it disappearing from the site. It's a very pretty pastel pink-beige shade with gold buckles and push lock clasp and scalloped detail. It's large sized and perfect for storing travelling essentials, has lots of space inside, a handle and adjustable strap; even pockets at the side for keeping a phone, handkerchiefs or the odd piece of baby paraphernalia!

This bow shirt and skirt are both from Primark; the shirt is a beautiful mauve grey colour that is almost blush and looks so smart to wear while travelling. It is slightly sheer so I like to wear a vest underneath; it helps to be able to shed layers if the heat is too much. The tie is also removable and I have been lusting after a bow shirt for some time - I think they look so smart, quaint and a lovely vintage twist on the classic blouse.

The gold buttons and pleats make me feel as though in uniform, but this skirt is a lot shorter! I adore a miniskirt but wouldn't be brave to wear without some sort of tights or leggings; I love it when they make a 'skort' version so I can sit cross-legged! It's a good outfit staple and a very cute addition to any wardrobe.
I love listening to Van She - 'Here with You' and a lot of Vanessa Carlton (especially this song) on the aeroplane, they sounds so dreamy and poetic and relaxing for when you are so high up, floating in the clouds.
Have you flown anywhere this summer? What do you like to travel in?

  3. The bag and outfit is so cute! We'll be taking a road trip to another city next week and then flying back to Malaysia next year in February so I hope (pray!) that our little one will behave himself in the plane ride. It's 25 hours of travelling so we're hoping he'll be sleeping a lot in the plane.

  6. Thats a very nice bag... Ultimate in summer are island resorts and beach destination.
I love listening to mellow Kpop songs that I put in a playlist. Though I cant understand the lyrics (coz im a Filipino) I just love the tune and how it calms me everytime I listen to it.
