Mothering Sunday

My mum always tells us to avoid Mother's day. It's not that she doesn't like being lavished with gifts and cards, she just dislikes abiding with these traditions - and the commercial side of them. I think I'm a bit the same, I stray away from events like Valentine's and Easter, and I eat pizza at Christmas ^^ But I didn't want her to miss out on the fun... I missed out the chocolate hearts and picked up her favourite condensed caramel for cooking  - and some meringues. I also got a few goodies from my local chemist's she'd been eyeing up. Mental not was made and completed! With the addition of a sweet card and gift bag, she ended up delighted :D

What did you get yours?

  5. That's very interesting that your Mother's Day is in March! In Germany Mother's Day is always the second Sunday in May. I always get my Mom her favorite Tulip flowers and a nice perfume or other cosmetics.
