L'Oreal Nude Magique CC cream

I've gone a bit beauty reviewsy lately but I'm sure I'll make up for it soon haha
The other day I popped in to Boots and checked out the new range of CC creams by L'Oreal. It really grabbed me I must say - though I found the BB creams a bit of a washout, I found it interesting that they use different colours like green and lilac to improve your skin tone. I've always had red patches on my face and uneven colour and I wish they'd brought this out sooner so I didn't look like an oompa loompa in Year 10!
I chose the green one for combating redness but there are also other colours to make your skin less tired and less dull, in shades of lilac and orange.
The formula is very lightweight and easy to apply and blend in. It comes out pretty green and I was a bit scared at first - alien foundation? Luckily it blends in to create a yellowy nude that balances out the red in your face. It also contains light reflective particles for a subtle glow, has an SPF of 12 and 24 hour hydration. It works really well on the face - it's maybe a teeny bit too dark for me but gives a subtle tanned look :)
I also found it relatively long lasting and the coverage was good for such a lightweight formula. Would love to repurchase and do recommend! :D

I'm really impressed with how good this is! It's a lot better than most foundations I've tried and is excellent for uneven skin tones. Ooh - can I give it a 4.5/5? Just for the fact that I would love to have it a bit lighter.

Is CC better than BB - what do you think?

  13. Oh, CC Cream as "colour corrector"! That's clever, I like how it was named. I really like the idea of it and the texture seems lovely I'm just a bit afraid on how it would work on oily skin :(

    1. That's a good point actually; I have no experience of having oily skin so cannot assume it suits all types. However, I think the consistency and moisture level is similar to a BB so if you were alright with those, you'll probably like this! As with all products, it may work differently on different people :D Thankyou!

  26. I've been loving BB cream, since it makes my freckles look less pronounced, but I love the idea of using color to combat redness and such, so now I really want to try this! I have such pink skin, so it'd be nice to be able to even that out. (:
